Leeton Hotel Anglers Club Inc

The Leeton Hotel Anglers Club Inc is a progressive family orientated club in the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area that was formed in June 1982. Our club caters for all ages and we encourage the development of our younger members in all aspects of fishing for the future. We also work co-operatively with NSW DPI Fisheries.

Even though we are situatedclose to the Murrumbidgee River, our Club travels to many other destinations throughout New South Wales and Victoria. These include the Murray and Lachlan Rivers, Burrinjuck Dam, Burrendong Dam, Wyangala Dam and Dartmouth Dam, Lake Eildon, Hume Weir, Mulwala, Khancoban and the Snowy Mountain Region.

Our Club is a member of the South West Anglers Association which is a member of the Council of Freshwater Anglers. The South West Anglers Association has a representative on ACORF (Advisory Council of Recreational Fishers) which is the body that advises the Government on fishing matters. We therefore have a voice directly to the Minister.

Club Information
The clubs holds a Raffle at the Hotel Leeton every Wednesday Night starting at 5.30pm and we hold a meeting the 3rd Wednesday of the month starting at 7pm.

Club Funds
All club funds raised are used to purchase fingerlings that are placed in different parts of the Murrumbidgee River, which is our local River. We have been stocking since 1984 and have put over 60,000 fingerlings into the river during this time.

Competitions
Competitions are held once a month at a site that is designated at our meetings; our club sets most competitions three months in advance. Competitions commence at 5 pm Friday and the weigh-in is on the Sunday 12 noon for local competitions and 7pm for competitions that are over 200 kilometres from Leeton. When a competition is over 200 kilometres from the Hotel Leeton there is a local competition site suggested for the members that are unable to travel to that set competition.
